SNOWPACK AND WEATHER
We offer the following as a general set of best practices for the backcountry community. We aren't here to demand you follow the rules or behave in a certain way. However, you may have noticed you aren't alone out there. When we are sharing the resource of the backcountry; everyone will have a much better time if we follow a few common courtesies. Please note that the uphill travel suggestions here are generalized.
ETHICS
PARKING
We know that parking can be challenging for winter recreation. Please do your best to park responsibly by following just a few simple steps:
-
Follow all "No Parking" signs and parking regulations
-
Avoid large spaces between cars so that more cars can fit
-
Obey parking pass or parking payment requirements
-
Do not park other cars in
-
When sharing the lot with motorized users, leave space for snowmobiles to load onto their trailers or trucks
-
Do not park in turnarounds, they are needed for the plows and large vehicles to turn
